Sue Weekes asks Paul Thompson
Sue Weekes @ Recruiter.co.uk asks Voyagers Sales Director Paul Thompson about 2017 and what it may hold.
Sue: What will be the key overall trends in Recruitment Software over the coming year?
Paul: Whilst there is much doom-mongering about Trump and Brexit the reality is that good or bad there will be opportunity for Recruiters to make a mark. If you planning for growth in 2017 you’ll need to look forward at the opportunities, not just how you made money in the past. Opportunities are Infinite – don’t ignore the small ones. “Micro-niche’ is my tip for 2017.
Sue: What specific features/functionality will be on customers’ wish-lists?
Paul: Who doesn’t want the latest features? In today’s world Recruiters want everything, and for less – and we think they’re right to want that. That said, if ‘ease-to-use’ isn’t on your shortlist of features you’ll never use the functionality you’ve bought.
Sue: What are the main challenges you face as a recruitment software developer?
Paul: Recruitment moves fast, real fast. In order to keep our Recruitment customers at the top of their game we need them to look at how things may be done in the future, not just how they’ve been done in the past. As a Software developer one of our greatest challenges is hiring Recruitment visionaries that can focus on the technical horizon, whilst paying homage to the Recruiters footprints.
